Distressed Industrial Desk | How-to

This is without a doubt one of my favorite builds!

A client of mine recently commissioned me to design and build an industrial desk for his office--and well, lately I've been obsessed with pictures of old abandoned factories so I tried to work that aesthetic into the design, and this is what I came up with.

Special thanks to my Patrons, as well as Lincoln Electric, and Waterlox for sponsoring my work and making this possible!

A jewelry holder for my wife | DIY

So, my wife has been asking for some sort of jewelry holder for quite some time, I finally got around to making one for her. The dowels hold her bracelets and necklaces, and the screen is for her earings.

Anyway, thanks for watching and let me know if you have any questions!

Industrial Table | How-To

This is my first commissioned piece for a decor/furniture store located in Dunedin Florida. The client wanted a wood & steel industrial influenced table, they had also expressed a preference for lighter wood.

Although I had initially intended on using some contrasted hickory, I ended up with a few beautiful pieces of poplar--a severely underrated hardwood in my opinion.

Small chest of drawers | How-To

This thing has taken me forever to edit/post! I've been experimenting with some different video/editing styles--I'd love to hear your input.

I used 3/4" maple plywood for the carcass, soft maple for the drawer faces and top, and mahogany for the legs & drawer pulls, and supreme pine for the drawers themselves. For the finish I used multiple coats of Boiled Linseed Oil.

Simple DIY candle holder

I wanted to familiarize myself with Sketchup, so I chose a relatively simple build. Having a layout sheet proved to be quite handy. It also helped me to reduce my waste.

I think Sketchup will be of great assistance on larger more intricate builds.

Industrial chain lamp from start to finish

I had a lot of fun with this one, back when I was living in Portland, Oregon, I sold quite a few of these. In this video I'll take you through the whole process of how I build chain lamps.

I'd love to hear your ideas, input, suggestions, and/or questions.  I'm considering a bi-weekly video update on new acquisitions, and a (non-sponsored) featured tool of the week.
